Mini & Me was founded by owner Susan Kramer-Swafford in 2010 and opened it's first storefront in the Scripps Ranch neighborhood of San Diego, California that the Swafford family called home. In 2012, Mini & Me launched it's website, and we now ship to customers throughout the USA. In 2014 Mini & Me opened a second shop in Julian, California, but when the family moved to Wake Forest, North Carolina in 2015, the store moved with them. Mini & Me is now located within The Cotton Company in historic downtown Wake Forest, NC.
Soon after opening the first store in Scripps Ranch, the Swaffords' discovered that their 8 year old son, Nick, had brain cancer. As he endured brain surgery, radiation, and chemo for almost a year and a half, the community rallied around Nick and the family, providing babysitting, fundraising, meals, and gifts, so spirits stayed high and the family could spend time caring for Nick. After Nick's successful completion of treatments, the Swafford family wanted to help families still battling their children's cancer and knew their store, Mini and Me, could help.
Every year, Mini and Me donates a portion of it's profits to childhood cancer research, hospitals, and charities, and we often host fundraisers, fashion shows, and toy drives for local hospitals, families, and childhood cancer charities!
Mini and Me loves curating and providing customers with amazing clothing, gifts, and home decor and being able to combine that love of fashion with a passion for helping the childhood cancer community. We hope you enjoy shopping with us with the knowledge that every purchase helps a child battling cancer and their family!
