Our Story

In 2010, I (Susan Kramer-Swafford) opened a little women and children’s boutique in San Diego, CA right down the street from my house in Scripps Ranch. At the time, I had eight “minis” and had number nine coming in just a few months. We had so much fun working with friends and family, styling babies and moms, hosting parties and storytimes! Over time, we opened another little shop in Julian, CA and created our website…And then moved across the country to Wake Forest, NC. We closed in San Diego and Julian but opened in Wake Forest where we enjoyed continuing our shop in a beautiful historic building called The Cotton Company. Fast forward a couple short years…We’ve moved back to the west coast, this time to the Seattle, Washington area where we have expanded our online boutique.  We are as excited about our products and our customers as we were back in 2010. Happy shopping friends!

Did you know that every purchase you make at Mini & Me helps a child battling cancer? Not long after Mini & Me opened, Nick Swafford, then 8 years old, was diagnosed with medulloblastoma brain cancer. The support of the San Diego community was amazing as Nick went through over a year of surgery, radiation, and chemo at Rady Children’s Hospital…while our family navigated a new store, a new baby (Kensie), and Nick’s illness. From the beginning, Mini & Me has been committed to donating a portion of our proceeds to childhood cancer non-profits as well as fundraising fashion shows, lemonade stands, and parties for patients, their families, and organizations that support them.
